Amy Watson
Amy-Louise Watson is the Lead Dance Lecturer at Colchester Institute, an FE college in North Essex, United Kingdom. There, her specialty is contemporary technique, ballet, physical theatre, choreography and performance studies, taught to students aged 16-19+. Amy is Artistic Director for the contemporary physical theatre company, 90 Degree Rotations. The company has performed and participated successfully in many venues including traditional theatre spaces, art galleries and festivals. She also works as a freelance choreographer and dance researcher. Her interests focus on the use of psychological imagery to assist dance composition and technique looking at how imagery of the body from the inside can inform the presentation and creation of external movement. Such research is regularly presented and performed in studio spaces, theatres, exhibitions and seminar talks around the country.
